Reports from Ministry of Transport, and letter from D J Jones, 4 July 1969.
The wreck lies on the NE side of the Rubba Mor peninsular, parallel to the shore, and between the shore and a reef. The reef is visible at low water and lies 76.2 metres offshore near the NW tip of the peninsula, merging with coastline about 275 metres to the east. The bows of ship face east and lie in approx 3 metres of water at low water. The stern, being in 15.2 metres. The wreck has been broken by sea action and some salvage work, but the hull is still in one piece. At low water, the staunchions or deck supports project 0.6 metres from water, from the forward part of ship. The wreck was salvaged 1942-43. It was cut down to the waterline and some cargo was removed. In 1957, the propellor was removed. In 1968-69, various non-ferrous fittings were removed.
