Architecture Notes

NT27SE 1580 2608 7338 Royal Infirmary

The original Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh stood between Infirmary Street and Drummond Street, and is depicted on the OS 1st Edition colour tinted 1:1056 scale map (Edinburgh, sheet XXXVI, 1854). Parts of the Hospital have been demolished and others are now owned by the University. For the successor to the Old Royal Infirmary at Lauriston Place, see NT27SE 480.00.
