A sales brochure of 4 October 1932 provides particulars of East Foudland Croft (lot 2, pp. 4-5) including details of the farmhouse and the steading. The house comprised a sitting room, a kitchen, a bedroom and a milk room with two other rooms upstairs. The steading comprised a barn, a stable for two horses, a byre for seven cattle, a loose box and a fowl house.

In 1932 the croft was let to Mr William Johnston; at that time the size of the farm was about 28 acres and its rent was ?12 per annum.
