Archaeology Notes

NJ90NW 415 9398 0875

This circular stone bears a five-pointed star and is embedded in the S wall of the churchyard on the right side of the gateway at the top of the Chanonry leading down to Don Street. It is said to be a Wallace memorial but is more probably one of the churchyard stones that were dispersed in 1702.

NMRS, MS/712/83.

A number of architectural fragments are built into the outer face of the boundary wall of St Machar's Cathedral burial-ground, towards its SE corner.

Information from RCAHMS (IFr), 31 December 2002.
