Cairnhall Hangar, 1935. Substantial black corrugated-iron shed built in 1935 by local joiner, Reggie Bisset, as a hangar

for two de Havilland 89 Dragon Rapides of Ted Freeson's Highland Airways. Freeson, who pioneered flying to the Northern Isles during the 1930s, had been frozen out of Aberdeen by Eric Gandar Dower's acquisition of control of Dyce.

This hangar and former arirfield are situated on a broad gravel ridge and were the site of some of Ted Freeson's early operations. The hangar is a black corrugated-iron shed with a segmental profile; it was built in 1935 and is (1991) in use as a joiner's premises having previously been the water services depot.
