This stone is situated at the junction of the parishes of Midmar, Kincardine O'Neil and Banchory-Ternan.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 1 December 1999.

This boundary stone is depicted on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet LXXXIII; 1901, sheet LXXXIII.NE) in an area of rank heather moorland and it was not located on the date of visit.
