(Location cited as NJ c. 663 045). Upper Tillenhilt. Air photography (AAS/81/12/S14/4-9, flown 25 November 1981) has recorded a stone-walled enclosure in an area of grassland and heather scrub on a spur at an altitude of about 300m OD. There are other walls in the vicinity.

NMRS, MS/712/55.

This circular enclosure is situated in rough pasture about 410m SW of Upper Tillenhilt farmsteading (NJ60NE 24), occupying the flattish summit of a low spur that descends from the NW shoulder of the Hill of Fare. Probably no more than a stock enclosure of comparatively recent date, it measures about 25m in diameter over a low, grass-grown stony bank, and there is a wide entrance on the SW. A stony bank that climbs up the E side of the spur passes close by the E side of the enclosure.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, ATW), 4 March 1999.
