 PROJECT

Notes A survey was carried out in Assynt parish over the winter of 2009-2010. Over 220 sites were recorded and detailed topographic surveys were carried out in four study areas: Glenleraig, Inchnadamph, Ledbeg and Borralan. The project recorded sites and monuments of all periods, including chambered cairns, burnt mounds, hut circles, mills, farmsteads and modern buildings, consisting of nearly 500 individual structures. A project website hosts the data collected during the project and the archive has been deposited with Highland Council’s HER and the RCAHMS.
