Modern day road very different to original.

Original road depicted on 2nd edition OS map (Lanarkshire 1913, sheet V.II)

The old road has been disjointed due to building of, for example, The Thomas Graham Building and parts of Strathclyde University. Three original road parts remain, the central section renamed as Rottenrow East.
