Activities

Field Visit (28 September 2018)

The rear (north) face of this former warehouse bears a large graffiti ’piece’ that dominates the central part of the face from first floor level to the top of the fourth. In addition, there are tags and throw ups on the metal roller shutters of the doorways that open on to the fire escape. At ground floor level the entire length of the building has been festooned with throw ups and pieces, as well as tags, and the painting has continued around the inside faces of the brick wall on the west and north sides of the carpark. It probably also continues around the E side but access to the carpark, which could have confirmed this, was not possible on the date of visit. In addition to the graffiti noted above, tags have also been recorded on a junction box that stands adjacent to the E side of the building and on wooden hoarding that appears to protect large windows on the ground floor, also on the E side of the building.
