The swing bridge was known localy as "The White Brig",as I understand it the correct name for the bridge was Orchardhall Swing Bridge because the railway line ran through lands of Orchardhall,it was demolished in 1999 though the line of the railway remains on the south of the canal. On the north of the canal a section of the railway embankment can be seen from the A9 which follows the line of the old railway line and crosses the canal east of the swing bridge site,it to has been name Orchardhall bridge.

Although the line travels south east into Grangemouth parish the site of both Bridges is within Falkirk Parish.
