World War One Audit of Surviving Remains (17 July 2013)

The Dempster Street drill hall is a late Victorian chapel-like building, erected as a drill hall, with large upstairs windows to the hall. It is marked on the 2nd edition OS 1:2500 map. In 1914 the hall was base for "F" Company, 5th battalion Seaforth Highlanders. It is still in use as a drill hall, Army information centre and cadet centre.
