The Norwegian schooner Hvide Stjorne of Sandefiord, bound for Alloa with a cargo of oak staves from Memel, had been anchored at the back of Inchkeith [name: NT 29 82] on Sunday afternoon, but breaking away from one of her anchors that night, and the other at 7 o'clock on Tuesday morning, she was driven before the gale, and struck the Oxcar Rocks [Oxcars: NT 203 817], becoming a total wreck. The crew of six got into a boat and landed safely at North Queensferry [name: NT 133 803].
