The Mill of Maidencraig was also known as the Deny Mylne or the Denburn Mill.

The meal-mill at Maidencraig was built by the Town of Aberdeen in 1616 and known as the Newmill. It was burned down towards the end of the last century.

NJ 8850 0635. Only the shell of this mill remains. Since the photograph was taken further demolition has occurred, and the east wall is now only about 1.0m high.
