On the southern slope of Tyrebagger Hill 'there are evidences which support the tradition that a castle, with a chapel near by, stood here, its name being Binghill Castle'.

No trace was found of a castle. Tyrebagger Hill (NJ 8444 1268) is heavily wooded.
Visited by OS (EGC) 1 November 1961.
There are no visible remains of a castle or chapel on the S side of Tyrebagger Hill.
