The AURORA, Leslie, from London to Grangemouth, is lost off the Carr Rock [Carr Briggs]. Crew saved.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Carr (or North Carr) Rock is not noted as such on the 1999 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map, but may be tentatively equated with Carr Brigs (name: NO 645 113). North Carr Beacon (NO61SW 25) is at NO 6471 1153.

The date cited in the primary account is accepted as the date of stranding.
