Activities

Field Visit (13 October 2010)

Harris Lodge stands above the shore towards the W end of Harris Bay, on the SW coast of Rum. A single-storey, slate-roofed and concrete-rendered building, it remains in occasional use by research teams. It comprises a main block of four rooms with an outshot to the rear (NW), a plan closely similar to the ruined Papadil Lodge (NM39SE 19). It was constructed in 1889 (Love 2001, 228)

Visited by RCAHMS (SDB, ARG) 13 October 2010.
