Situated at the W end of Brown's Road and the S end of Greenholm Bridge.

A late 19th century building, in one, two and three storey sections, built in red sandstone with slated roof , the adjoining house is in modified Scots vernacular style. There is crowstepped gabling on the three storey building.

There are stained glass windows in the tower which are portraits of famous Scots.

In 1993 the bank was separated from the house.
