Archaeology Notes

NR96NW 25 9805 6995

This concrete slipway situated about 300m N of Blair's Ferry was utilised during the Second World War for practice landings. Tank landing craft used the slipway to carry out practice landings of vehicles and tanks. It is not known whether the slipway was constructed specially for this purpose.
