The map sheet assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary. Obb Bay cannot be identified from the available map evidence and the stranding is placed in the area suggested by Larn and Larn. The village on An t-Ob is centred around NG 017 863 and Whittaker cites 'Obbe Bay' (in this area) as a possible location.
