The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. The location of Dunvegan cannot be established from the available map evidence, but the island of Killegray (Ceilagraigh) is situated in the Sound of Harris.

Loch Dunvegan is an extensive loch set into the NW side of Skye, to the W of Waternish.
