Accessing Scotland's Past Project

No 3 Main Street in Swinton is a two-storeyed house which stands at the end of a row of houses lying towards the south-west end of the street.

It is fronted with regular-sized blocks of dressed sandstone, and has a slated roof. Like many buildings in the village, and indeed throughout the Merse, it has brick chimney-stacks. It may date from the late nineteenth century.
