Accessing Scotland's Past Project

The two-storeyed building at No 53 Roxburgh Street is thought to date to the early nineteenth century. It was probably built originally as a private residence, but a shop, thought to be a late nineteenth-century addition, now occupies the ground floor. Today the building has a rendered facade and a single dormer window projects from the slated roof.
