OS 1:10,000 map, (1976)

A granite boulder roughly in the form of a cross stands about 60 metres south of the east wall of St Moluag's cathedral (NM84SE 5). It is 0.8 metres in height and in width it is 0.6 metres at the base and 0.4 metres at the top. The stone is called Clach na h-eala (the stone of the swan) and is supposed to have marked a boundary in connection with certain rights of sanctuary.

As described. Surveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS (DWR) 9 November 1971.
