Accessing Scotland's Past Project

Probably dating from the late eighteenth century, No 61 Horsemarket occupies the corner with Cross Street and stands two storeys high. The ground floor features modern shop windows while the exterior of the building has been rendered and lined out to resemble ashlar or dressed stonework.
