Publication Account (1998)
Nearby stands the King's Arms Hotel figure 23.0, a three-storeyed building with attic. With its painted Tuscan columned doorpiece and moulded cornice and blocking course and some original glazing (although not at ground floor and attic levels), it retains much of its original character. The long, single storeyed range to the rear was once the stable block, a reminder of the days of horse-drawn carriages.

Watching Brief (25 February 2019 - 11 April 2019)
NT 54654 34058 A watching brief was carried out, 25 February – 11 April 2019 in advance of the construction of a single storey extension.
The watching brief uncovered the remains of an un-mortared stone wall and stone covered well. No dating evidence was recovered from either. The well was preserved in situ.
