The THETIS, Shaw, from Petersburg to Liverpool, was driven on shore 25th ult., on Balla [Balta] Island, Shetland. Crew and part of the cargo saved.

The brig Thetis of Whitehaven was lost in 1807 on the island of Balta while carrying a cargo of tallow and flax from St Peterburg to Liverpool.
