NN34SE 2 3959 4375.

Near Invermearan, is Macree's Cairn, in Glen Mearan, where one of Colin Campbell's dairymaids was slain in a skirmish between cattle raiders and their pursuers (context infers late 16th c).

A Stewart 1928

A cairn of modern appearance at NN 396 437. It is 1.5m in diameter and 0.8m high. The local traditions associating it with the events described above are still strong.
