Lerwick, 24th Oct. It blew a heavy gale from East 20th Oct., when the following casualties occurred: the MARIA (smack), drove ashore at Gratners [Grutness] and became a wreck: the SYLPH (smack), drove ashore at North Brae and was wrecked: and the ELIZA (smack), drove ashore at Bursavoe [Burra Voe], and is supposed to be much damaged. The wind continues very strong.
