27 September 1875, LOUISE CHARLOTTE, 25 yrs, of Russia, wooden brig, 208 tons, 9 crew, Master H. Mortensen, Owner Fenger & Co., Riga, departed Riga for Alloa, carrying lathwood, stranded, total loss, 2 lives lost, wind NW11, drifted ashore derelict at Hawks Ness, Tingwall, Shetland.

Lerwick, 22nd Nov., the hull of the LOUISE CHARLOTTE, of Riga, derelict at Braewick, was sold, 16th Nov., for £30: a small quantity of cargo is still on board to stiffen her: the sale of the cargo of lathwood is advertised to take place tomorrow.
