NS79NE 235 7987 9475

(location cited as NS 799 948). Forthvale Mills, built in the 1860s by John Todd, woollen manufacturer, and susequently extended. A complex of 1- and 2-storey brick buildings, of which the oldest appears to be a 6-by-7-bay block of weaving sheds. Since c 1900 a rubber factory.
