NN62SE 3 c. 69 24

A polished stone axe of grey blue banded rock from St Fillans was presented to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS] by Dr E C Curwen, Eastbourne, c.1966-67.

NMAS 1967.

No further information; NMAS Accession no. AF 1030.

Visited by OS (RD) 17 January 1969.

This axe has been petrologically attributed to group XXIV which comprises objects of calc-silicate hornfels from the axe-factory at Creag na Caillich, Killin (NN53NE 1).
