A single line of anti-tank blocks has been identified from vertical air phtographs (F22 540/RAF/1383, 124-127, flown 7 August 1954) running along the foreshore from Milton Ness to Tangleha' Cottages then turning NNW for about 50m. They form the southern defence of a group of three pillboxes protecting the coast as far as East Milton Cottages. The blocks were still visible on air phtographs taken in 1973, but it is not known whether they are still in situ.
