NO87SW 8020 c. 825 706

N56 49.6 W2 17.2

NLO: Gourdon [name: NO 826 708].

14 October 1875, FISHER LASSIE, 9 yrs old, of Montrose, wooden lugger, 13 tons, 5 crew, Master and Owner W. Wylie, Gourdon, departed Gourdon, for fishing, in ballast, stranded, total loss, 5 lives lost, wind SE8, entrance to Gourdon Harbour, Co. Kincardine.

Source: PP Abstracts Returns of Wrecks and Casualties on Coasts of the UK 1875 - 76 (1876 [C.1632] LXVII.191).

NMRS, MS/829/69 (no. 2646).

(Location of loss entered as NO c. 825 706 [N56 49.60 W2 17.20]). The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Gourdon Harbour (NO87SW 46.00) is centred at NO 82570 70620.

The remains of the vessel were presumably removed without delay from this constrained location.

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998).

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 5 May 2004.
