NLO: Port of Leith [name: NT 265 775].

(Classified as pinnace, with cargo of cast iron and cheese: date of loss cited as 19 April 1828). Unknown: this vessel upset and sank to the W of the Martello Tower, Leith. Five lost.

(Location of loss cited as N55 59.0 W3 11.0).

A location at NT c. 268 777 may be suggested for the loss of this vessel. The Martello Tower (NT27NE 43) is at NT 2688 7775, on the Black Rocks which form the NE side of the former Leith Roads and the present Leith Docks area.
