Leith, 18th Dec. 'A foreign vessel is supposed to have been wrecked upon the Carn Rock [Carr Rocks], several wainscot logs, marked MK, having come on shore on the East Coast of Fife, with a great quantity of lathwood, and the stern of a boat, marked 'DORRIS, Barth.'

(No classification specified: cargo cited as lathwood, and date of loss as 18 December 1844). Dorris: this vessel was presumed wrecked on the Carr Rocks. Small boat and wreckage on the East Fife coast.

The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary.

The subsequent discovery of wreckage (apparently from this vessel) on the coast of Fife is entered as NO60NE 8011.
