Visited by OS 25 March 1963.

Scheduled as Fir Hillock, burial mound 750m E of Ardblair Castle.

Field Visit (3 April 1989)

Fir Hillock, traditionally regarded as a place of execution is a turf-covered cairn which is situated within a small stand of trees some 260m SE of Myreside steading. The mound measures 13.5m from N to S by 11m transverely and about 0.9m in height; its centre has been dug into.
