A Scots galliot and other craft, 1409/10, Blackness, Scotland
Sir Robert Umfravill, Vice-Admiral of England, in 1409/10 took 10 ships and harassed the Scots coast, burning `a Scots galliot and other craft off Blackness¿.
Source: W. Laird Clowes et al., A History of the Royal Navy, Vol. 1, London 1898, p369, reference to Hardyng, pp365-6, (Ellis) [transcriber¿s note: ¿Rolls Series¿?] [or could this be the Rotuli Scotiae?]
(Information from Gillian Hutchinson (NMM, Greenwich) per Serena Cant (NMRC), 11 June 2007).

The location and quasi-administrative area assigned to this record, and its equation with the losses cited by Whittaker are all essentially tentative.
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 31 August 2007.
