See NS55NW 146.00 for history and description of Gorbals Gravitational Waterworks

This reservoir is an annex to Balgray reservoir, and separated from it by the Newton Mearns to Barrhead road. No specific characteristics are known but most likely it was constructed together with Balgray Reservoir in 1853-54.

Infomation from Jelle Muylle, engineer carrying out survey of sites and structures of Gorbals Waterworks for RCAHMS, Historic Scotland funded, December 2007/January 2008.
