This milestone, which has been painted white, is situated on the SE verge of the A913 public road on the E side of Lindores. It comprises a dresses sandstone block measuring 0.39m square by 0.42m in height with a triangular top to fit a cast-iron cap that is missing. The milestone is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Fife and Kinross 1855, sheet 10). It indicated the distance of 2¼ miles to Newburgh, 14 miles to Perth and 8 miles to Cupar.
