Archaeology Notes

NO50SE 8046 c. 568 034

N56 13.3 W2 41.8

NLO: Anstruther Easter [name: NO 575 036].

(Classified as M[otor] F[ishing] V[essel]: registration cited as KY 96, and date of loss as 15 October 1991). Stand Sure: this vessel [suffered a] gas explosion and [was] destroyed at [in] Anstruther Harbour. Capt. Anderson.

Registration: Kirkcaldy.

(Location of loss cited as N56 13.25 W2 42.00).

I G Whittaker 1998.

The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary. The loss of this vessel presumably occurred within Anstruther (Easter) harbour (NO50SE 48.00), which is centred at NO 56831 03411.

The remains of this vessel were presumably removed without delay from the constrained area of the harbour.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 21 September 2010.
