The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary. The loss of this aircraft may have occurred within the area of map sheet NJ06SE.

The current edition of the OS (GIS) MasterMap applies the name Findhorn Bay to a relatively small area of nearly-enclosed water between Findhorn, Forres and Kinloss.

This aircraft probably crashed on taking-off from RAF Kinloss (NJ06SE 76: Kinloss Airfield), which is situated on the E side of Kinloss Bay, around NJ 0690 6300.
