Activities

Field Visit (7 October 2011)

This granite obelisk style memorial is in memory of John Law Hume of Dumfries and Thomas Mullin of Maxwelltown who went down with the Titanic in April 1912. The railings have been removed (presumably during World War Two for scrap metal). The commemorative plaque on the memorial's west face is made of a base metal to look like bronze.

This memorial was recorded when RCAHMS was in the area.

Information from RCAHMS (MMD) 7 October 2011.
