Field Visit (23 October 2011)

This concrete triangulation pillar stands on the top of a large prehistoric cairn (NT09NE4) on the summit of Dumglow. It measures 0.6m square at the base tapering to 0.39m square at the top at a height of 1.1m. The corners of the pillar are chamfered and the brass flush bracket near the foot of the E side bears the identification number 'S3678'.
