'A Druindical temple is said to have stood in the vicinity of Balkethly (Balkaithley - NO 547 110). Not the smallest vestige can now be seen.'
Statistical Account (OSA) 1794

(Area NO 5402 1100) Three stones close to the west wall of the minster's garden at Dunino, seem to have been part of a circle.
New Statistical Account (NSA) 1845; J M Leighton 1840

Similar information to above, but stated to be "in the neighbourhood of Dunino Law" (NO 542 113).

The stone circle which formerly existed near the church at Dunino has now been entirely destroyed, but what are believed to be portions of some of the original stones are built into the dyke on the north side of the roadway at the south-west of the churchyard about 100 yards east of its junction with the main throughfare to St Andrews.
RCAHMS 1933

No trace of this stone circle was found. The stone fragments mentioned by RCAHMS are in the position described.
