Archaeology Notes

NO55SE 16 c. 566 503.

A stone axe 'from Guthrie, Bridgend, Perth' was among the exhibits at the Scottish Exhibition of National History, Art and Industry, held in Glasgow in 1911; it was lent by A Henderson Bishop. (It is presumably now in the Bishop Collection, Hunterian Museum, Glasgow.)

(Bridgend, Perth is at NO 12 24; however, there is no 'Guthrie' in it. A more probable location would appear to be Bridgend Cottages, at NO 5665 5033, in Guthrie village, Angus.)

Palace of History 1911.
