Field Visit (1956)

NS35NE 32 3782 5555

A stone slab, built into the ruin of Lochlands, bears an incised circle, 15ins in diameter, containing a simple cross with one arm extended to represent the shank.

Field Visit (5 January 1983)

Although the farmstead of Lochlands is entirely ruined, and in parts buried, modern repairs show some buildings were probably occupied well into this century. The incised stone slab was not identified, and there are few stones amongst the rubble of a size that could accommodate such a design.
