OS 6" map (1958)
The cairn on the summit of Glen Garr hill seems to be 80ft in diameter. A triangulation station (noted in ONB) "shaped like a tower" has been built on the centre of the cairn with stones robbed from the surface, but the core is probably intact.

The cairn on Glen Carr measures 14.0m in diameter and is 2.0m high. There are indications of an attempted excavation, the structure having been dug into. A small cairn 2.0m high and 4.0m in diameter (presumably marking the old triangular station) has been erected on it.
