Field Visit (June 1969)

Cairn, Dunsyre Hill.

On the summit of Dunsyre Hill (400m OD) there is a grass-grown cairn measuring 15m in diameter and 1.8m in greatest height. Although a considerable quantity of the cairn material has been removed, several large boulders belonging to the original kerb are still in position round the perimeter, and others are lying dislodged nearby.
