(NT 2388 4776) Short Cist found AD 1929 (NAT)

OS 6" map (1966)

A cist containing a food vessel was found in 1929 when ploughing about 350 yds SSW of Darnhall farm steading, on the S shoulder of a slight ridge, and about 800 yds SE of NT24NW 15. It measured about 3' by 1'6" by 1'4" deep, oriented N-S. The food vessel is in the National Museum of Antiquties of Scotland (NMAS, Accession no:

EE 120).
